Betcha Can’t Guess Who the Parent Brand Is

A new upscale concept from…Taco Bell, complete with Dias de las Muertos (Day of the Dead) theme.

No burritos (i.e. unlike the menu at Taco Bell), US Taco co. will have upscale American tacos (pulled pork, fried chicken and gravy, etc.) plus steak fries and milkshakes infused with Guinness and tequila.

Is it brilliant….or just weird?

    Just weird… and brilliant.. at the same time! The end of the first paragraph of the article “concept designed to capture diners who are not likely to step foot in a Taco Bell” had be intrigued – thinking “okay… trying to capture a new market… but what’s with the pink skull? Read on….”

    By the end of the article, I think the rationale behind the new concept is brilliant, however, I’m still left hanging on how they think the pink skull will appeal to that new market of consumers.
